About

PsyCo. was founded during the quarantine / my quarantine baby if you will. With more time on my hands than ever before, I took on different hobbies just like the rest of the world. As I looked down on my second failed batch of sour dough bread, I thought to myself, I need to take advantage of this opportunity and work towards more permanent goals rather than just looking for ways to pass the time. So I pulled out my old sketch book that I’ve had since high school. Inside were endless drawings and colorings of designs I created over the years. Preserved like a linear timeline of my creative expressions, it seemed like everything was pointing towards moving forward with my passion project. I decided then, that I was finally going to do something about it.

I was always afraid to consider myself a designer even though making clothes is all I’ve ever wanted to do. After receiving a degree in Business and International Relations from Boston University, I continued my career in fashion working at Prabal Gurung, CHANEL, and Condé Nast. I thought I was happy just being in the industry, but I realized that nothing makes me more happy than creating something that only existed in my mind before putting in the work to make it something I could physical hold in my hands.

The Spring/Summer capsule collection includes four dresses, one top, paired with either a skirt or pants to be worn as a set. Fabric sourced from a long standing family business in Korea, and put together and manufactured in New York City by hand.  It is an assembly of pieces that I personally would reach for in the summertime. Each piece is unique and easy to wear with many different adjustable features, such as adjustable straps or slit length. The collection is inspired by springtime itself, as it has always been my favorite season, full of light and warmth. The pastel tones and silky fabric is taken from the mood boards of my dreams, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
